dada inspired balcony action by Kamila Metwaly and Max Schneider

Sound artist, musician, and curator Kamila Metwaly and tonemaster Max Schneider collaborated on a sound set from their balcony in the Fluxus spirit. They used their everyday lockdown lives and reversed them in imaginary scripts to deflect internal ideologies. Their sound work was accompanied by an out-of-space gesture by Metwaly, coming originally from the Mediterranean: scrolling down an empty basket to be filled by a small market on the corner. Here, it was repeated with tied-together bed sheets to send a sign of life to the street below.
