In her contribution Christina Werner reactivated an old communication tradition she encountered in Ethiopia through certain textiles. From her balcony looking at the street behind a large courtyard, she placed a lively element from her textile-based research archive and sent a sign of life to anyone who was willing to see: “Here and alive.”
