Spring cleaning acquired another meaning during the pandemic. In a new life mode shaped by health, security, and restrictions, accumulations clustered and stagnated over years require another look. Yael Bartana and Saskia Wenland opened and closed the first edition of Die Balkone with their action The Reset: cleansing, refreshing, and moving things in their apartment through their windows. The outcome was relief and joy, for both those who were inside the apartment and those who followed from the street.
